Reliability & corrections

Report an error

Our content is reviewed and validated by the doctors on our scientific committee, but no process is infallible. If you spot an error, an outdated source or wording that could cause confusion, tell us — we’ll correct it.

Reports

What you can report

  • A factual error — reference value, unit, mechanism, dosage
  • Ein outdated source — a recommendation superseded since publication
  • A dead link or a reference that can’t be found
  • Ambiguous or needlessly alarming wording
  • Information that contradicts what your doctor told you
Your message

What to tell us

So we can handle your report quickly, please include in your message :

  1. The address of the page concerned — copy it from your browser’s address bar
  2. The passage in question — copy the sentence or paragraph
  3. What seems inaccurate, in a few words
  4. Your source, if you have one — a link is enough

There’s no need to send us your test results or personal health information : we don’t need them to correct an article.

Our commitment

What we commit to

48 hAcknowledgment (business hours)
10 daysReview of the report (business days)
AlwaysA reply, whether or not we make the fix
  • Acknowledgment within 48 business hours.
  • Review within 10 business days by our medical editor, and by a committee doctor if the point is medical.
  • A reply in every case, whether or not the correction is made — with an explanation.

If the reported error presents a health risk, the article is corrected or withdrawn without waiting for the end of the review.

Traceability

How we correct

A substantive correction is noted at the foot of the article, with its date and nature. We don’t change medical content silently : traceability is part of reliability.

Minor corrections — spelling, broken link, layout — are not flagged.
